Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and CMF Phone 2 Pro are two solid mid-range smartphones launched in April 2025. Both offer good performance, capable cameras, and modern designs, but there are some important differences you should know before making a choice.
Display
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion features a stunning 6.7-inch 1.5K curved pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and an impressive peak brightness of 4500 nits. It also gets tough Gorilla Glass 7i protection. On the other hand, the CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with a slightly bigger 6.77-inch flat AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, the same 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and HDR10+ support, but peak brightness tops out at 3000 nits. It is protected by Panda Glass. If display quality and brightness matter more to you, the Motorola takes the lead.
Performance
The Edge 60 Fusion runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 in India (or Dimensity 7300 globally), while the CMF Phone 2 Pro uses the Dimensity 7300 Pro. Both chipsets offer similar day-to-day performance and can handle popular games smoothly at around 90fps. You will not notice much difference in regular usage.
RAM and Storage
Motorola offers 8GB or 12GB RAM options with 256GB of storage, and it supports microSD expansion up to 1TB. The CMF Phone 2 Pro sticks to 8GB RAM but gives you 128GB or 256GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB. If expandable storage is important, CMF has a clear advantage.
Cameras
On the back, the Edge 60 Fusion packs a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide camera that doubles as a macro lens. It also has a sharp 32MP selfie camera. The CMF Phone 2 Pro goes with a more versatile triple-camera setup — 50MP main, 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide. The front camera here is 16MP. While Motorola offers better low-light stability with OIS, CMF gives you more flexibility with its telephoto lens.
Battery and Charging
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion has a larger 5500mAh battery and supports 68W fast charging. CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with a 5000mAh battery, 33W fast charging, and 5W reverse wired charging. Motorola clearly wins when it comes to battery size and charging speed.
Software
Both phones ship with Android 15. The Edge 60 Fusion uses Hello UI with Moto AI features and promises 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. The CMF Phone 2 Pro runs Nothing OS 3.2, which is known for its clean, bloat-free experience. It also promises 3 years of OS updates but offers longer security support for 6 years.
Design and Build
Motorola goes with a curved screen and sleek design. It is IP68/IP69 rated and has military-grade durability (MIL-STD-810H), making it better for rough use. CMF opts for a flat screen and modular design with IP54 splash resistance. It also supports add-on accessories like lenses. If ruggedness matters to you, Motorola is more durable. If you want customization, CMF is more fun.
Audio and Extras
Motorola gives you stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. CMF Phone 2 Pro has a single ultra volume speaker. Motorola sounds better overall. However, CMF includes an “Essential Key” for quick shortcuts, which some users may find useful.
Price
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is more affordable and starts at a lower price compared to the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion.
Both are great mid-range options, and the final choice comes down to what features matter more to you.
