Design
The design of the iQOO 15 looks familiar if you have used recent iQOO models. The flat sides and softer curves make the phone easier to hold, and the new grip feels more stable than the iQOO 13. Even with a huge 7,000 mAh battery, the phone does not feel too heavy. The weight is well balanced, and the large camera module does not cause wobble on a table. The bezels are not as tight, but the phone still looks modern and clean from the front. The frame also feels solid, and the IP68 + IP69 rating gives extra peace of mind.
The Monster Halo light glows from under the camera ring and looks more refined.
Display
The iQOO 15 uses a bright 2K LTPO AMOLED display that stands out immediately. The 6,000-nit peak brightness is not just a marketing number. Outdoor visibility is excellent, even in direct sunlight. The triple ambient light sensor makes automatic brightness much faster than usual. The display reacts instantly when you move between bright and dark areas, which improves everyday usability more than most people realise.
I also like how iQOO focused on eye comfort. The new pol-less display, 2160 Hz PWM dimming, and low-brightness DC dimming make late-night use much easier on the eyes. Even when brightness drops extremely low, the panel avoids the flicker that you may notice on some AMOLED phones.
Motion handling, touch accuracy, and wet-touch performance are all excellent. The bezels could be slimmer, but the panel quality itself is top-tier.
Speakers and Haptics
The speakers are very loud. They can easily fill a room and do not distort at high volumes. However, the tuning still needs improvement. The bass is lighter than competitors and the mids could be clearer. For gaming, the loudness helps, but for music, brands like OnePlus are still ahead.
Haptics are strong and sharp, but iQOO still does not apply them consistently. Many UI elements feel silent even though the vibration motor is capable of much better feedback.
Software
OriginOS 6 feels smoother than older versions. Animations, transitions, and multitasking have improved a lot. You still notice minor micro-stutters in some parts of the UI, but they are small and easy to ignore.
iQOO has also cleaned up the design, though some elements like the random Roboto font in a few animations feel out of place. Lock screen customisation is excellent, and Origin Island adds useful live indicators for things like food delivery, hotspot usage, or timers.
There is some bloatware, and not all of it can be removed. You also get long-term support: 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security patches.
Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 delivers exceptional speed, and combined with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, the phone flies. App loading is instant, multitasking is strong, and background apps stay in memory for a long time. iQOO’s optimisation for games continues to impress.
Thanks to the large vapor chamber, temperatures are controlled. The phone avoids overheating during long gaming sessions
Cameras
The iQOO 15’s triple-50 MP setup performs well for a performance-focused phone. The main camera clicks sharp photos with natural colors if you switch to the Natural or Textured profile. The viewfinder sometimes shows a blur while processing, but the final output is good.
The 3X telephoto lens delivers detailed portraits and sharp images in good light. In lower light or close distances, the phone switches to the main camera crop, which may confuse some users. AI enhancement is aggressive at times, but still usable.
The ultrawide camera is decent in good light but struggles indoors. Selfies are improved thanks to the wider lens, but low-light selfies remain soft.
Video quality is fine outdoors but needs better color accuracy and noise control indoors.
Overall, this camera system suits users who value portraits and everyday photography more than cinema-grade video.
Battery
The 7,000 mAh battery is the real standout feature. It delivers:
