Nokia 2.3 is a budget phone with modern design and good specifications. The phone is bigger and heavier that its predecessor Nokia 2.2. The increase in weight is due to the larger battery.
The phone has a water drop notch above the display. It has volume rocker and power button on the right side. At the left, it has a dedicated Google Assistant key. The top side has 3.5mm audio jack and base side has Micro-USB port and speaker. Nokia 2.3 is a dual SIM phone with an additional slot for a microSD card.
It comes with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with 720x1520 pixels resolution. The display is good and performs well in most of the conditions.
Nokia 2.3 packs MediaTek Helio A22 processor that is the same as in predecessor and it has 2GB RAM. The performance of the phone is fine but it could be more powerful considering its price. The phone runs on stock Android Pie with no bloatware or customization. Android One branding is also there. The phone will get two years of software upgrades and three years of monthly security updates. The phone is also Android 10 ready and will get it soon. The software experience is really good due to the clean bloat-free UI.
Nokia 2.3 comes with 32GB of storage and you can also expand storage up to 512GB using the microSD card slot.
The phone comes with it. The dual camera on the back that has 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The company has added a feature called Recommended Shot that takes several shots of the same frame in quick succession and gives you the best based on AI. Users also get an ability to choose from all the photo captures in the burst. The phone also has a 5-megapixel selfie sensor with an AI beauty filter. Both rear and front camera can record 1080p videos.
The phone packs a fingerprint sensor but it has Face recognition. It also eats Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and GPS. Nokia 2.3 packs 4000 mAh battery that lasts for 2 days and makes it an impressive battery phone.
Even if the design of the phone is modern and clean UI gives an advantage, the performance of the phone doesn't justify the price tag. We have Redmi 8, Redmi 8A and Realme 5 like phones with more powerful hardware in similar price. So, I don't think Nokia 2.3 should be in your Wishlist.
