AirDrop definition
AirDrop is a feature built into Apple's macOS and iOS operating systems that allows users to quickly and easily transfer files, photos, and other types of data between Apple devices. AirDrop uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to create a peer-to-peer network between devices, enabling transfers without the need for a Wi-Fi network or other internet connection. To use AirDrop, both devices must have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled, and be close to each other. The user initiates the transfer from one device and selects the recipient device, which then receives a notification asking to accept the transfer. Once accepted, the transfer is completed quickly and securely. AirDrop is a convenient and efficient way to share files between Apple devices.
